Application Description:  
Automatic doors for bathtubs used in assisted living communities, hospitals and clinics

Challenge:
A pneumatic cylinder was being used to move the tub doors on a walk-in tub enclosure but a noisy air compressor made the bathing experience undesirable. The customer was looking for an electric system that would provide smooth operation, little noise, no maintenance and reliable performance.

Tolomatic Solution:
Tolomatic worked with the customer’s engineering team to develop and provide a custom belt drive actuator that met the size envelop of the bathtub enclosure, speed, load and reliability requirements.
