HAMEL, Minn. – Tolomatic electric rod actuators and rodless electro-mechanical actuators are available for specification on Rockwell Automation’s Motion Analyzer web-based software, making it easier for engineer teams to specify, design and validate complete motion control systems that use Allen Bradley controls.
The Rockwell Automation mechatronic design tool, with its cloud-based architecture, helps mechanical, electrical and controls engineers collaborate efficiently to create prototype machines, according to Rockwell Automation. The interdisciplinary design approach helps decrease time to market, reduce cost to engineer and improve overall machine performance. The Motion Analyzer combines application requirements with product ratings and specifications to provide solutions that exactly meet needs.
Tolomatic’s featured electric rod actuators (ERD, RSA, MXE, MXB) can meet virtually any budget and performance requirement. ERD electric actuators are a low-cost alternative to pneumatic cylinders. The RSA high-thrust actuator combines high performance and mounting flexibility. Tolomatic rodless electro-mechanical actuators (MXE, MXB) are available in both screw- and belt-drive designs and a variety of bearing styles and options.
“The addition of electro-mechanical components into Motion Analyzer gives the automation design engineer a powerful tool to quickly and accurately size and configure a complete motion control system,” said Aaron Dietrich, director of marketing, Tolomatic. “Furthermore, Tolomatic’s easy-to-use online electric actuator sizing tool can be used for even more accurate mechanical sizing and to double-check work before ordering.”
Products can be built-to-order in 15 days or less, and are backed by over 60 years of product innovation and the best service in the industry. Tolomatic is a product partner company of the Rockwell Automation PartnerNetwork™ Encompass Program.
