Application Description:  
Automatic pill sorting for large retailers.

Challenge:
New machine for one of the largest pharmaceutical manufacturers in the Midwest. The machine was required to fill the correct quantity of pills into each specific container. They preferred a gantry system to move the fill stations into correct position. Early attempts to use a pneumatic solution could not meet the multiple positioning requirements.

Tolomatic Solution:
Three Tolomatic MXB16P heavy duty linear actuators were used in a gantry configuration to provide fast, accurate positioning of the fill station. This allowed the fill station to maximize its pill dispensing speed. Tolomatic’s YMH (Your Motor Here) program allowed use of the customer’s motor choice within the standard 15 day delivery time. Smooth integration of the MXB actuators into this machine was a direct result of our distributor’s expertise in motion control.
