How our software works

Define your project parameters

The process begins with you defining critical parameters: motor mounting, actuator orientation, stroke length, environmental conditions, and others.

Describe the motion profile

You’ll be able to define loads and velocities for the stroke segments you specify. The number of segments and their characteristics are up to you.

Select a product

The software will show you the Tolomatic products that fit your parameters and motion profile. At this point you can research products or you can choose an actuator and lead screw type and proceed.

Choose motor mounting

If you’re using a third-party motor, you can choose whether or not you want us to provide motor mounting through our Your Motor Here program. The sizing software lets you tell us the motor brand and model you’ll be using.

Get your product results

Our software then lists the actuator models that could meet your needs. When you select one, the ordering code appears.
